Key Responsibilities Operate Horizontal Boring Machines (HBM) for machining large components. Perform machine setup, job loading, alignment, and tool setting. Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining process sheets. Carry out boring, drilling, facing, milling, and tapping operations as per specifications. Inspect machined components using Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Bore Gauges, Dial Indicators, and Height Gauges. Ensure dimensional accuracy and adherence to quality standards. Monitor tool wear and machine performance, and report maintenance requirements. Maintain production records and machine logs. Follow all shop floor safety and quality procedures. Required Skills Strong knowledge of Horizontal Boring Machine (HBM) operations. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments. Knowledge of machining parameters, cutting tools, and machine setup. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
