Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive Purchase Engineer to manage procurement activities, vendor development, and material planning for manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing quality materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely procurement of raw materials, components, and consumables while maintaining cost, quality, and delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities Procure raw materials, engineering components, consumables, and services as per production requirements. Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors while maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers. Float RFQs (Request for Quotations), compare quotations, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules. Prepare and release Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor order execution until delivery. Coordinate with production, planning, stores, and quality departments to ensure uninterrupted material availability. Monitor supplier performance based on quality, cost, and on-time delivery. Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and resolve procurement-related issues. Maintain procurement records, vendor database, purchase reports, and documentation. Implement cost-saving initiatives through alternate sourcing and vendor development. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
